Drag Racing Timing: DragRacing 2.1.2

DragRacing is an application designed for measuring times in drag racing scenarios on regular roads where measurement facilities are not available.

The app utilizes GPS for timing measurements at various distances such as 60 feet, 330 feet, 660 feet, 1000 feet, as well as the 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile markers.

It serves as a valuable tool for testing or training purposes related to drag racing. It is advised to prioritize safety while using this app and to adhere to all relevant regulations when operating on public roads.

How to use:

1. Secure the iPhone (or iPad with GPS) with the DragRacing app on the car dashboard to prevent movement. If the iPhone remains stable during acceleration, placing it on the dashboard or center console suffices.
2. Tap the Start button (or Start / Repeat button). Depending on the car's motion or GPS signal acquisition, you will see corresponding messages like "In Prep" or "Waiting for Stop." (A thin gray "GPS" mark appears next to the DragRacing logo if GPS signal is weak).
3. Proceed when "Ready" is displayed, initiating your run at your own discretion. Audible alerts accompany visual cues upon commencement. The measurement initiates with your car's start and is indicated by "Measurement Started," with the measurement screen assuming a green tint during this phase.
4. If deceleration occurs mid-measurement, the process ceases and "Finished" appears.
5. For repeated measurements, tapping the Start / Repeat button ensures readiness for subsequent runs when nearing stops.

Button functions:

• Stop: Instantly concludes ongoing measurement.
• Start: Executes a single instance of measurement.
• Start Repeat: Facilitates multiple measurements, ideal for urban locations with frequent signals.
• Share: Opens a window to distribute displayed results.
